What is the ford capri 1.6 0-60 time?

Capris handle well, they can be a handfull but they are fun! and 14 seconds... you gotta consider it's only a 1.6 and they're around 30 years old... This was gonna be my first car I just didn't wanna be left behind by my m8s in their cars but it apears I wont :)
 
From the manual, a 1600 cc '80s Capri produces 73 bhp, 0-60 mph in about 14 seconds, and a top speed of 95 mph. What a heap!

The Brooklands was no quicker than a 1960s Capri 3000E, and Capris were absolutely awful handling cars.
 
Mayfly - 7.5 seconds? Only in your dreams mate! The 1.6 was under powered for what it pretended to be and the 0-60 would have been around 14-15 seconds at a guess. I had a 2 litre and that would not have got remotely near 7.5 never mind the basic 1.6. These cars were just Cortina's with a different bodyshell.
 
well if it is like my dads old car from many moons ago, when it was working ok, about 5 secs or when it wasn't working ok, about 4 years haha
