citizen? My sister was the poa for my elderly Mom, until her death about a month ago.
She also is the executor of her will. She gave the rest of the heirs a bank statement of what remained in the acct.. When we pressed her for more detailed info, she went ballistic. My Mom had $150,000 in her account 12 yrs.
ago. She ended up with $62,000 at her death. She was very frugal. Had no house payments,
no car payment. Her only debt was utilities, taxes (700), and insurance policies, and food.
In that period of time she bought a new mattress for her bed($500) and another car for $3,000 cash.
Had no charge accounts. She lived mostly on her Social Security check. We wanted a more precise look at her finances and that is when my
sister got mad. Can the rest of us get into her account or do we have to hire a lawyer?
