What is the equation for preparation of tin (II) iodide using Buchner funnel?

I have to calculate % yield but I suppose I need the full equation for the reaction involved but I AM LOST!
This is really frustrating because it seems like I am stuck. If you guys can give me full equations and half equations, I would greatly appreciate. Or even help in calculation, thanks.
Sn2+ + 2 I- ----> SnI2
I have that but I think I need more for percentage yield.
