add 4 quarts.Run the engine for a couple minutes to be sure the new filter is full,shut the engine off give the oil a minute to settle and check the level.Oil level should fall between the hash marks at the bottom off the dipstick.If you have a 4 cylinder it's 4 quarts a 6 cylinder will hold 4.5 to 5 quarts
