What is the emblem on a car hood called for some cars (i.e. Jaguar, Mercedes, Cadillac)?

What is it called, where a car brand's logo (jaguar- the leaping jaguar, mercedes- the circle with the three lines through it, or cadillac- their regular logo)

My question is, what is it called?

And lastly, do they make one of those for a Mercury, that you could install on the hood yourself?
