What is the easiest way to get your sports cards signed by the Athlete?

The best way is to catch them at a practice or pregame. You can mail them, with a returned, stamped, addressed envelope.

I'm curoius what your definition of rare is. Specifics on the year, sport, player, card maker and series would help.
