What is the easiest palm to grow indoors?

I tried my hand at Phoenix Robellini s and i'm just having bad luck. After two months the soil just turned white and I think i'm going to give them a couple more weeks and just pitch them if nothing comes up. What palm or any kind of tree that would be the easiest to grow indoors and has a short germination wait? I don't want another palm that takes 3 months.... And if you could give me advice on how to grow these considering i'm obviously not very skilled that would be amazing. Thank you
