I searched countless times on the internet and have put a lot of research into this, but I still thought it'd be a good idea to ask and get more views on the subject. I know many people have said that you should follow your heart and choose which instrument you like best, which I totally agree with and understand. However, I really want to join marching band next Fall and if so I need to start learning an instrument now. There are a bunch of alto saxophones in the band so that wouldn't be for me, and I can't do pit because of a conflict with their extra rehearsals. I'd probably prefer to learn a woodwind like a clarinet or flute, because I heard those are the easiest. I currently take choir and play a little bit of piano, along with the beginner music theory class at my school so I know how to read music. The hardest part for me would probably be the fingering and producing the sound. Honestly though, I pretty much love all instruments so I'm pretty sure whichever I end up taking I will probably love. Sorry this is so long, thank you so much!
