All of these are public schools. I want to know the differences between all of these different types of public schools and which is more beneficial for getting into a good college like UCLA.
A charter school and a magnet school are somewhat similar in that they offer specialized programs to students. The main difference is that a magnet school can also be part of a regular school whereas a charter school is usually its own entity within the school district that it's located in.
As far as UCLA goes, it'd depend on the type of charter/magnet school because it'd depend on the program you want to go into for college. You can still do this at a regular school.
Be sure to ask your guidance counselor about your prospects for getting into UCLA. Just don't do it now because they're too busy preparing for graduation (if school isn't already out yet!). A good time to ask this is about a month/month-and-a-half after school starts. It's not so busy then.
