I'm 25, female, single moving to Chicago from Boston... where should i live ??
Is it true that wrigleyville/lakeview is filled with college kids ?

well lincoln park is full of college kids as Depaul is located in that neighborhood and they definitely hang out in wrigleyville. I would say that all 3 have tons of post college young adults living there.

They are all on the north side along the lake. Lincoln Park is furthest South, then Lakeview, then Wrigleyville as the one furthest north. For the most part, in Chicago, the closer you are to downtown and to the lake, the better. So they are best in that order: lincoln park, lakeview and Wrigleyville.

Lincoln Park - rich mature people, young couples until their kids need to go to grade school, college kids. Most upscale of the three.
Lakeview - retired people, gays, college, just about anybody lives in lakeview.
Wrigleyville - the most varied of the three with lots of college kids, and young adults going to work

They're kind of similar, but Lincoln Park has the slightly more mature crowd. When people first come to Chicago post-college, they seem to congregate in Lakeview and Wrigleyville. The place is filled with 22 year olds. Lincoln Park is home to the more stable yuppie types, maybe in their 30's. If you're 25 and single, you'd probably be at home in Lakeview itself or Lincoln Park, but maybe not Wrigleyville, right around the stadium, which does have a more frat-boy atmosphere.

Lincoln Park tends to be a little fancier. If you're young and renting, you probably won't notice the difference from that perspective though. It really comes into play whey you're buying.

Lakeview covers a huge variety of neighborhoods from young college grads (Wrigleyville) to young professionals with little kids (Southport). You can't really go wrong with either one.

There's a good website called Live Here Chicago that has information on different Chicago neighborhoods you might want to check out.

Also, the Apartment People website has some useful info on neighborhoods and average rental rates.
