What is the difference between the Sprint and Nationwide Series? NASCAR?

I mean I know one division is higher than the other and that the cars are different,

but I want to know specifically whats the difference between then engines they use for each
 
It's the Nationwide Series and the Sprint Cup Series, or just "the Cup Series" The Cup Series is the top of the ladder. The Cup Series in NASCAR is the epitome of all motorsports. You can't get any higher. The Nationwide series, is where the Cup drivers come from.
