What is the difference between Splinter Cell: End Game and Conviction in the

book series? I just got Endgame and have been reading it for awhile, but then I found out that Conviction the book came out before it. The synopsis' are almost identical in text but I wanna be sure. How are they different? Is Conviction not from Sam Fisher's point of view like Endgame is?
