what is the difference between Army rangers, and regular marines?READ DETAILS?

I Got an asvab (AFQT) score of 56 and the recruiter for the army told me that i'm almost qualified for a ranger contract but that i only need 5 points on the GI section. I talked to the marines recruiter, but they didn't tell me shit other than that i barely passed. the recruiter couldn't even interpret the test results until i guided him. that actually made me lose faith in the marines cuz it was my first choice, but after that i'm reconsidering joining the rangers
