i believe that a slammed seat post is manufactured by slamming it against various metals and alloys. stump seat post is slammed at first but then cut off, to give it the lightweight it is characterized for. hence the name, stump. a.k.a. stumpy, stumps, short straw, or as they call it on the street gimme da stumpy seat. i hope this answer helped.
