what is the differance between a trail dirtbike and a racing dirt bike?

one of my friends has one and wants to come ride but i have mainly trails she has a trail bike but what is the real differance
yeah i ride four wheelers so i sorta get it a trail bike is like just for the trails a race bike is ment for a track.
 
race bikes have more torque in each gear to jumo stuff, while trail bikes are 4 stroke and have more top end speed
 
a trail bike basically is meant for trails, it takes less maintenance and is usually heavier, sometimes has a headlight, and sometimes slower. a race bike is meant for a track, its meant to be jumped and stuff for racing.
