It concerns me that everyone is so eager to jump on the Harley Davidson bangwagon. Why so?

because i have pride in my ride.
you must have a very boring life if the basis for this question really concerns you that much.
kelly f.....once again,USE SPELLCHECK,none of your answers ever makes sence, why even bother ?

What bias?
For every example to be found here, there is also one to be found for the other side of the argument. Which, in most cases isn't an argument as much as it's a pissing contest.

On a purely personal, non-Harley note:
Stuff it, Dennis.
My favorite four wheel ride is my 1971 International 1210.
3/4 ton, AWD, manual transmission.
No options - drum brakes, Armstrong steering.
Solid axles front and rear, both with leaf springs.
The only electronics are the radios I installed. (1 receiver, 1 transceiver)
I like what I like for my own reasons, not your suppositions.

Maybe because Harleys are designed and made in America, and some people are prejudiced against the many bikes made in Asia or Europe.

they want to feel cool
that is why they cost so much these days
years ago you could buy them fairly cheap (used ones) but the yuppies wanted to be cool and there went the prices..
so that's is why

good luck

I don't think it's the american made thing, most harley owners drive a toyota after all.
I think it's the bandwagon thing, HD props up it's image so much people think they need one to be cool and are willing to pay for it without looking at anything else.
Personally I don't get it, Half the power and reliability for twice the price of an import? Maybe when I'm old and don't like to go fast any more I'll understand.

p.s. I like the fashon lemmings comment
