I remember reading this book years ago, but I can't remember the name. There's a part at the end where the main character is getting his first tattoo and it's either on his big toe or toenail. He gets a microscopic tattoo of his dog. I think the dog is dead at that point in the book. Maybe. Sorry I can't give any more details; this is the only part I remember.
