I've just started writing for a magazine, and for my first assignment, I've been asked to interview a local gardener in town and create a personality profile type story. What details should I include in this? I was thinking of including how he got interested in gardening and some of his favorite plants and most recent projects and things like that, but then also including how long he has been married, how many children he has, some of his other interests, his inspirations, and things like that. Does that sound about right? For those who have written professionally, what type of questions would you ask during an interview for a personality profile?
