...transfer to another laptop? I have put off getting a new laptop for almost 5 years, simply because I do not want to lose all my photos, iTunes songs, documents, etc....

I cannot afford any software of external hard drives, so is there some sort of Flash drive (something you can just plug in) to grab all of those items and then simply transfer or downlaod to a new laptop?
