I've made some websites using html but now I want to make an e-commerce site and I want to learn PHP form making and shopping carts and stuff like that. What is the best way to learn it from home.
lynda.com has a great video tutorial on PHP and mySQL. You have to pay to access it though. Also http://php.opensourcecms.com/ has a list of some free ecommerce suits to get you started.
The best way to learn any new language is to have a necessary project. If you need to invent one do it, but follow your requirements through... the devil is in the details.
