This is for the purpose of eating when I go fishing. I have heard that cutting the artery that runs to the gill and letting the fish bleed out results in the best flavor, because it reduces blood in the meat, but this seems pretty inhumane. I thought of knocking them out first and then letting them bleed out while unconscious. Answers from fishermen/women are preferred; I'm not interested in being scolded for doing something that all of our ancestors did, which played a huge role in the evolution of the human brain to it's current size. But scold if you must. Oh, and please don't whine about my mention of evolution either.
