I heard about these and would like one. My friend got a GE. Is GE good or what is the best for a start up?

ge is out of business, and will no longer support their products. so, in my opinion, you want the Xlink. there are two models. one will allow you to connect an existing landline, and the other one will work purely with your cell phones and any home phone system. I own one. it works great. I bought thru chp. ( see below )

A Bluetooth gateway is such as the Xlink is a great solution. They are simple to set up, but if you lack technical confidence you may want to consider an AT&T EP5632, which is a genuine plug and play solution.
