I got a great puppy today, but he's been living and was born outside and is so afraid and confused. He will run to me, get in my lap, and still whimper. How can I get him to relax?
You need to stay calm and confident. Dogs can read people and if he feels you are stressed he will be too. Just show him love and understanding. In a few weeks you will not even see this stuff. He just needs to know that he is somewhere with someone where he will stay put. Lots of luck with this cutie!
