I WOULD LIKE TO LAUNCH A CAMPAIGN IN MY COUNTRY ABOUT AIDS AND HIV FOCUSED ON YOUTH AND I WOULD LIKE TO GET SOME ADVICE AS TO WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO PRESENT THIS MESSAGE FOR MAXIMUM IMPACT

To Keep Teenagers interested and not make them laugh.

Do's:
Make It funny.
Make it interactive.
Make it realisic (real life videos of people with this)
Show pictures of what can happen
Cause and Effect

Don't:
Try and be "hip"
Be all serious and monotone.
Be nervous.
Lame jokes.
Just a speech.

You need to catch their attention, and make it scary, but not to the point they never have sex. Just Make them aware.

I'd just like to add, to the post above, that Teens are hungry for reliable information. But they are often too shy to ask, or don't know what to ask. Acknowledge that they are sexual, that it's difficult to talk about and also that sex is going to be a big part of who they are for quite a while and that a sub-set of Teens will also be involved in intravenous drug use. As well, other recreational drug use, including alcohol, can and often does, lead to poor sexual decisions being made while under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.

Best of luck to you!
