V vomit New member Sep 8, 2011 #3 Um...for one "HP laptop" tells us NOTHING relevant. At all. If it has HDMI, you run an HDMI cable. It's not that hard to figure out. If it has DVI, DVI -> HDMI cable. If it has VGA, then use VGA if your TV has it or do without.
