...score of 626? I have read a lot about a score of 626 will get you a decent interest rate when financing a house, not the best but not the worst. Anyways I was wondering the best way to raise my credit score to over 700. I have limited revolving credit, but just recently applied for a credit card that helps obtain credit hoping it will help as I plan to keep the balance low and pay it off immediately. Any other suggestions?
Also the only negative thing on my credit is a cell phone bill for $300 that is over 4 years old and I was told that it would make my credit worse to pay it off since it is so old. I have no current credit cards or loans or anything else open. My husband and I share a JCPenny card and it shows up on my credit since I'm a authorized user but we have never been late on a payment and keep it paid off.
about the Jcpenny card. I have my card he has his card, he is just the primary on the account. Never had any type of loan or credit card until the credit card I got recently.
