Years ago, I wrote mediocre programs with BASIC and Visual Basic for DOS and Windows 95/98. I'm good with HTML and I also have a minimal knowledge of C. I am new to Macs and OS X as of about 4 years ago.
I'd like to know what is the best language for a beginner with my minor skills to start in & where can I get the software and maybe some online beginner guides or recommended books? I'm not looking to do anything overly complex at this point - I just want to get my feet wet. Thanks!
