What is the best type of bearing for a bicycle wheel bearing?

I hear ceramic bearings are best, but there appears to be different types, i.e. silicon carbide, silicon nitride, zirconium
also could someone plz explain the abec rating thing? or any1 have a link to something that explains all bearing ratings?
