Hey, I want to have a go at producing electronic music using software, which programme would you recommend I get? I would like to produce chilled out music and dance music. I'd love to produce some drum n' bass, dubstep and ambient stuff. I am fairly new to music production, I'm 16 and have been messing around with the FL demo for about 2 years on and off, i've decided that I would like to take up making some serious material for myself and practicing my production skills to hopefully get better.

I'd love to learn who to do things to vocal samples to make them sounds different and chop them up, I've heard a programme called 'soundforge' is good for this but please tell me what you would advise. Thanks.
