i'm not one of the people here that get acne like crazy, but every month or so.. probably due to hormonal changes i get one hugeee pimple that i cant do anything about.. its usually around my nose or on my chin.. and i've tried everything to treat it but it sometimes doesn't go away for a month. also, i scar so easily that i have quite a few marks from them.. i wash my face twice a day with different scrubs and cream cleansers but it doesnt help.. i was thinking of trying proactive solution.. can anyone recommend some products that are good for preventing pimples or products that can clear up pimples that i already have? thankyou for any repliess. :]

The best product i'v tried hanRAB down to clear face and body acne is Doxycycline.
You got to get this prescribed from a derm.
Get the Doxycycline thats 100MG per capsule. Take one a day.

I also use besides the Doxycycline.
I like the Juice Organics Nourishing Cleanser
They sell this in CVS.

This soap-free cleanser is made with organic juices and antioxidant vitamins to nourish and revitalize skin cells.
It uses Grape Seed, Aloe, Chamomilla, Sunflower seed, Apple, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, B5, Citrus.
This is a really good cleanser and feels very smooth on your face.
Leave it on for a minute then wash off.

For a toner, I like the Earth Science toner.
They sell that in Whole FooRAB.
Its called the Earth Science toner Aloe Vera Complexion Toner & Freshener - 9 oz
Its got alot of vitamins in it and feels nice on your face.

2 lotions I recommend for acne on the face and redmarks.
One is the Neutrogena Multi Vitamin acne treatment.
Unfortunately, Neutrogena stopped making this.
They were so stupid for doing this.
This was a great product.
It helped bring down the acne without creating marks or little scars.
It used nice incredients.
1.5% Salicylic Acid, Grape Seed, Kiwi, Honey extract, Oatmeal, Glycolic acid,
Vitamin A, E and B5
You can still get it.
Some stores still have it and you will see lots of them on e bay.

I also recommend this new product.
Its called Wet and Wild Spot Treatment.
Dont be fooled by the name.
This is a great lotion for getting rid of acne and redmarks.
It uses top of the line incredients.
It uses 2% Salicylic Acid, Green Tea, Aloe, Nobilis Flower, Tee Tree Leaf Oil,
Cucuraber, Algae Extract, Licorice Root and Witch hazel.
They sell this in Walgreens and Rite Aid.

Dont use these lotions at the same time.
Try each one and see which one works best for you

Top of the line, Accutane has been best for me. It sounRAB like its too strong/unecessary for U. I would recommend visiting a Dermatologist, regardless of the price, to give you your best options. If U feel shy/erabarassed, call them on a day your skin is clear. Thats what I do. (Though it might be best to visit when u have breakouts, so they can see what they look like) Remeraber, the scars U get are FOREVER. Medication has always stopped most acne for me. Every fancy and expensive face wash, cream, and lotion NEVER worked to STOP acne. I now use regular soad and lotions like everyone else, but I still take some medication. I can give my medication details if U like. Good luck.:)

Before bed: Wash the face with cetaphil or a generic equivalent (rite-aid gental clenser0 and apply 55 benzoyl peroxide

Next morning, wash face with cetaphil, and apply nutrogena acne clearing moisturiser 92% salicylic acid)

No acne within 2 weeks

I absolutly agree with 3ex. I too, like you, always had random pimples around my period and maybe some more during stressed times. people around me said accutane is too strong and bla bla bla... but these scars are for LIFE and there's no reason to suffer. i'm very sorry i didn't take accutane earlier in life.

hey you sound a bit Like me I would 4 or 5 nasty pimples around the time of my period every month like clockwork. I went to a derm tried everything he could perscribe except accutane, I tried to change my diet, I tried using all natural products the only thing that ever worked was Ortho Tri-Cyclen birth control I haven't had a pimple in months, the first three months I didn't see much change but after that wow, what a difference. Funny thing is that the dermatologist kept telling me that birth control doesn't work and my period had nothing to do with my acne (he was male of course) My female primary care doctor suggested that birth control would help my acne.
