I want to get into editing photos and stuff but i dont no what the best software is..
 
The best for photographers is Adobe Lightroom v. 2.4 ($299)

If your goal is to be a post production wizard, Photoshop CS4, Extended ($999)
 
I like Photoshop, but it is very expensive, about 600.00. There are cheaper options available but none as powerful as Photoshop.
 
Your camera itself is a best editing software. Take the shot , review it on camera LCD and take another one after making appropriate changes in the camera settings.

I'd say definitely Photoshop CS4. Its honestly my best friend. Its expensive and takes up a lot of RAM, but its totally worth it.
