I'm creating a sculpture of a tree and want to use a faux grass base set inside a terracotta pot. The tree itself will be (very roughly) between 3 and 6 feet tall. So essentially, I'm looking for something that won't look disproportionate to what is going to resemble a full grown tree of this height. I thought about trying moss....but I'm creating the sculpture for a gallery and don't trust using any sort of live organism in my sculpture...the tree itself will be paper mache on wire. Anyway, suggestions for a wannabe grass?

They use fake grass in the uk for some football grounds, they used to use another kind on market vegetable stalls. If you put faux grass, or fake grass in google it may come up with a manufacturer who will sell you offcuts.
