I currently have a 1989 Honda CR125 two stroke that I use for the sand dunes at Pismo Beach, CA. Anyways I was pondering upgrading to a 250cc two stroke dirt bike. I have a 1985 CR500 I restored but that thing is just ridiculous and is impossible to start when you fall in a difficult place. I am only 5' 11 and 150 pounds, and I ride about once every week or two.
Is a CR250:
Light and easy enough to pick up off the ground when you are beaten up from riding?
Does it start decently easy?
Does an aluminum frame make a big difference in weight versus a steel frame?
Is it more fun?
Also any other pros or cons?
