What is the best computer virus protection now?

For the past 2 years weve been usin Norton, and overall weve been getting a lot of malfunctions from Norton. So are there any other really good ones out there? Just a program which is simple to use, and will protect my computer from virus, phishing etc. (ive heard about avast?...)
 
MCAfee is a really good virus protecting program... it is easy to use... i am using that rite now... i find it better than Norton.. i too had lots of problem with norton!!
