I dont care about post production software, slowing down clips is just extending the length of clips which make it look terrible and choppy.
and what prices would i be looking at also?
 
Idk. However, you must remember that you can "fake" features on some specialist editing software. For instance, if i shot my footage I could slow it down, create a "fish eye" lens effect, and every camcorder these days offer decent quality.
