Im 20 years old and this is my 5th semester at a local community college. My fourth semester I applied for the radiology program and didn't get accepted into it, not even on the waiting list (its a very competitive program, only accepts 25-30 students per year). Waiting around is not my thing, so I decided to switch over to health information technology, which my counselor agreed that I would definitely have a better chance getting into and now im currently taking classes to get my gpa up to apply for the program at the end of this semester. And once I get my associates, I plan on transferring to get my bachelors in health information management.I always like to plan ahead and have a plan a, b, or c just in case things don't work out. So Im looking into joining the navy or air force reserves, if I don't get accepted into this program. I was just wondering if the decision im making is a smart one. I know what I want to do, so will the navy or air force reserves provide the training I need for health information technology without having to go through getting accepted and all the other crap. Im just really ready to jump start my career and get the training and knowledge I need to succeed. But whats your opinion if you have been in the navy or air force before, what has your experience been like and what do you think of my decision?(How much pay, travel (I like), advice, etc.) Thanks
Didn't mean to put question mark by 20 yr old female, I know I am a 20 yr old female lol
