What is the best brake pad for a 2004 Chrysler Sebring Sedan?

We just put on high performance monroe brake pads and they are loud as can be. Any suggestions on a different pad for a 2004 Chrysler Sebring Sedan?

did you grease the back of pads
did you have brake rotors turned

really monroe been a round a long time one of the best.. if it squeaks most likey cause of rust or brake dust
