Hi! I finished my grade 12 this year in canada but I'm taking a year off to fill up my portfolio to present to colleges here. I like drawing and i have a little bit of experience in painting and using oil pastels because of the art courses i took from grade 10-12. I'm not the kind of person to take a general/ open/ broad course like visual arts that can leave you open for various possibilities. I would like to take a narrowed down field but I don't really have any particular preference on what i should take in college. Does any one know what i should take? My art teacher suggested graphic design but i learned recently that it was a competitive field. I originally wanted to take animation but then I don't have the skill to draw things over and over again. (of course, i could learn during my break this year) My sister is actually taking interior design which means I can't take it just because I want to have my own thing apart from her (very childish but yeah..) So, can anyone give me any advice/ suggestions?? I need guidance~ heheh~
