I will be home in early June from a deployment to Afghanistan. I want to take my boys on a 7 day hike on the Appalachian Trail and I would like to know what the best stretch is for such an adventure. My boys are 9 and 10. We will be traveling by car from Cincinnati. I would really like a hike that is very scenic, family friendly, and has access to stores and shops every now and then. We would like to camp out under the stars and don't need any campground amenities. I appreciate any help you can offer.
