To start you need a "normal lens" which for most digital is 35mm lens and 50mm for film. If the crime is inside start by shooting from the four corners of the room. out side shoot from the four compas points N E S W. Next is medium shots. evidence in relation to the body body position. entry or exit ways from the crime scene. anything else of importance at a medium view showing realation to something else in the room. finally closeups. Close up shots of everything important. by the time the photographer gets to a crime scene the evidence marcers should be up but if not you can have a cop go around with you to make sure you got everything. That is about all you will need to get.
