ok so then whats the difference between tone and voice? cus i thought thats what voice was... lol

A tone is how the author conveys/speak their attitude or feelings in something.

Take Edgar Allan Poe for example; he was known for his poems because of his dreary, depressing, and melancholic tone.

This is a quick answer to give you a general idea:

-The forest beckons with fresh, clean air and lush greenery.

- Although it was noon, the forest's canopy blocked out a good deal of the light and a strange quiet fell on the bird songs.

Both sentences are about the forest but the first is elation, joy. The second sentence has an ominous, slightly fearful tone.

Tone comes down to not so much what you are saying but How you say it.

Hope this helps. : )
