What is the author's style in the novel, Sorceress by Celia Rees?

I have to do a report for English IV and I'm a little stuck. I was also wondering if anyone could help me with any of these areas of this book:
Main Conflict
Figurative Language
And Theme

I think that the theme is sort of like witchcraft, religious intolerance, and historical fiction, but I'm not sure. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
