I'm just really curious, I want to know what it is about the genres of death/black/thrash metal that is so appealling to people. I have a friend who only listens to that type of metal, so I know that the more "brutal" and disgusting something is, the better. But why?! I hate the vocals in those genres and can't see any good song structure. I'm not trying to insult the genres or the fans, but personally I find death metal horrible. I listen to stuff like A7X, BMTH, ETF, MCR, BVB so I'll probably get a bunch of crap saying I'm an "emo" and a "faggot" but I just want to know what it is about deth metal that draws people in.
