"When magnesium ribbon, Mg(s) is heated in oxygen gas, magnesium oxide, a white power, is produced. In one experiment, 3.56g of magnesium ribbon is completely consumed in reacting with 7.00g of oxygen to produce 5.93g of magnesium oxide; some oxygen remains unreacted. In a second experiment, 2.50g of magnesium ribbon reacts with 1.10g of oxygen gas. This time, all the oxygen is consumed; some unreacted magnesium remains, and 2.75g of magnesium oxide is produced. Show that these results are consisted with the law of constant composition."

Please help me, guys.
