and what is Scott Fitzgerald's (author of The Great Gatsby) aspect of the American Dream?
 
Fitzgerald's as well as Gatsby's 'American Dream' focused on gaining enough money and popularity to win the 'golden girl' of his dreams. (Fitzgerald's was Zelda and Gatsby's was Daisy)
 
The American Dream is typically seen as the idea that any individual in America, no matter what handicap, has the capacity to build a better life for him/herself through entrepreneurship and hard work.

Fitzgerald often focused on the absurdly wealthy in his books to criticize the obvious falsehood of the American dream.
