What is that curry body odor on certain 'types' of people?

I was sitting in my college class...it was a good day. When suddenly this old man with a strong, spicy curry smell sat in front of me. My eyes began to water, and I literally got heartburn just breathing in his fumes. Even almost threw up after class. I couldn't even switch seats because the class was completely packed.

Why would someone do this? And how does the curry 'become one' with them?
