What is Summer school like?

Oh dear, I failed my midterm in math! I was never good at math to begin with, and couldn't switch to applied because I was already far into the first semester. I love other subjects and passing with ease..... Except for math.I'm in grade nine. I'm in Canada, Kitchener, Ontario. I was wondering how long summer school is, I have asked a few people and they said around 3 or 6 hours. I also heard that it'll last for a month (Including weekends), so Summer school in July and get my summer break in August. A friend of mine told me that if i miss a day of class, they will kick me out of Summer school, Is that true?! So what I'd like to know is, How long is each class and If it will last a month. I've been stressing about failing math, It's been bugging me ever since, nagging at me, I feel like a total idiot. I've tried to motivate myself and using the failure to push me, but that never really helped or did the trick.
