what is recommended for forensic science?

i am currently starting my GCSE's and i am really interested in a career in forensic science. i understand that the field has become quite competitive over recent years, so in order to have the highest opportunity of employment, what level should i study to i know that biology and chemistry are the most useful but what extent should i study them to, degree, masters e.g
