What is keeping my 1996 Ford Probe from starting?
Whenever I turn the key it almost starts but on the 2nd try, it's like the battery has no power. (and the battery gauge is very low)
It will take a jump-start and the battery gauge is right in the middle for my entire trip. If I turn the car off then try to turn it on 15 seconds later, it doesn't have enough juice.
And when I stop the RPM's go way down -- sometimes enough for the car to die. Then it won't turn over again!!
The battery terminals seem to be cleaned off OK.
