What is Pennsylvania like towards the end of September. (Weather, scenery, etc?)?

Most specifically, around the region of Arrowhead Lake in Monroe County? My family is interested in vacationing there around the end of September. (September 25th-October 2nd) Are the leaves the dazzling autumn colors we'd like to see? What is the weather typically like? What is the temperature of the lake, etc?
